Our lobbying team, Carrara Nevada, along with our Executive Vice President create a powerful voice for our members in providing the following government affairs:
- Full-time representation at legislative sessions
- Email alerts regarding laws and regulations affecting trade contractors
- Protect Prompt Pay; Right-to-Stop Work; Lien Rights
- Reform Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR)
- Protect the Prevailing Wage
- Attend State Apprenticeship Council or apprenticeship issues
- Protect public agencies’ ability to use Project Labor Agreements (PLAs)
- Monitor OSHA updates
- Foster relationships with existing and new state and local lawmakers
- Monitor agendas and attend local meetings in local and state governments
- Interview and educate lawmakers and incumbents on trade-specific issues
- Collaborate with the Nevada State Contractors Board
- Assist with trade-specific licensing
- Commission workers’ compensation
- Employee misclassification
- Ensure employment practices and paid time off
